Terry takes blame for Carson mix-up England captain John Terry has taken the blame for the confusion with goalkeeper Scott Carson that led to Germany's goal in last night's friendly.
With the visitors 1-0 up and seemingly cruising in Berlin, a routine through ball caused both the Chelsea defender and the West Brom shot-stopper to hesitate, allowing Patrick Helmes to nip in and score into an empty net.
But rather than share the blame with the young keeper, Terry admitted it was down to him to have dealt with the ball.
"I should have cleared the ball. It is not Scotty's fault," the skipper said.
"With my experience I should have dealt with it but I didn't. I hold my hands up to it."
